About Pack 117

Cub Scout Pack 117 is based in Monument, Colorado. Our home school is Lewis Palmer Elementary School, but any boy residing in the surrounding area who is attending first through fifth grade is encouraged to join our pack. We strive to instill leadership and the Cub Scouting Core Values in our Scouts with frequent fun and family-oriented activities. We are proud to live in the Tri-Lakes area, and stress the importance of community by regular service and conservation projects in and around Monument. Our commitments to our community are often recognized and returned; the Monument Fire Department, Monument Police Department, VFW Post 7829, local churches, and even the Air Force Academy hosts or takes part in many of our pack events and activities.

Our pack’s leaders work hard to maintain focus on the growth and development of our Scouts and of the pack as a whole. We have earned the BSA Gold-Level Journey to Excellence Award the past two consecutive years, and are on track for earning it again for 2014. This is a prestigious Council award that very few packs earn, proving our dedication to Cub Scouting Values and having fun. Click here to read about some of our “regularly-scheduled” activities.

Our pack meetings are held at Lewis Palmer Elementary School, typically on the last Tuesday of every month, at 7:00 P.M. Holidays may necessitate a change in this schedule. Pack meetings are only held during the school year unless otherwise listed. If you would like to visit a pack meeting, please verify the date on our calendar contact us here.

Den meeting schedules and locations vary by den, and are determined by the individual den leaders. Our online calendar should list the meetings for the next two or three months.

One or more field trips or outdoor activities per month will be scheduled for the whole pack at various locations and days, and additional trips or activities may be scheduled by individual dens as needed, to fulfill requirements.
