Pack 117 strives to serve its community and return, receives support and sponsorship from several organizations and businesses in Monument, Colorado. These entities include:

  • is our BSA charter organization, and also sponsors many of our activities, including our pack-level campouts. In return, we serve as their Color Guard for some of their ceremonies, and volunteer our time for their bi-annual Buddy Poppy Drives.
  • affords us the courtesy of holding our pack meetings, some den meetings, and our Pinewood Derby at their facility. Most of our Scouts attend LPES, and we repay them for their sponsorship with service projects for their buildings and grounds.
  • provides us with their facilities for some of our den meetings, as well as our last two Blue & Gold Ceremonies. Last year, Pack 117 gathered nineteen Scouts (including Girl Scouts and an American Heritage Girl) at Trinity, and Pastor Tyg Taylor taught the classes necessary for all of them to earn their Protestant Emblem of Faith. Another session is planned for this year.
  • The and are always ready to work with our Scouts, and have provided us with several presentations of their facilities and equipment. The firemen even spent a morning with our 2013 Bear Cubs at Home Depot and helped them build and paint wooden fire trucks. Both departments continue to be instrumental in teaching our Scouts about personal, home, and fire safety.
